8/26: Instead of London, it's An American Werewolf in Paris.

I'm not a fan of the original and don't think much of it, but jeez...where's Rick Baker or Rob Bottin when you desperately need them? Instead, the werewolves are full-blown fake due to CGI, making the slight remake a downer many times over. How about the story? My head can only shake.

Worse is the lack of comedy. Tom Everett Scott seemed capable of carrying a film on the heels of That Thing You Do!'s success, but he's let down by the atrocious script which must have been worked on by twenty different people. However, I give him credit for providing the only funny scene which has him eating a condom to make believe it's a gum and blowing a bubble on a dare afterwards.

As for the rest of the show, there's nothing I haven't seen before. Hence, An American Werewolf in London is more than enough. The most unbelievable scene is Andy bungee-jumping off Eiffel Tower to save Serafine. When he hit his head on the metal bar afterwards, that should've killed him instantly.

All in all, more jokes and realistic werewolf makeup would've saved An American Werewolf in Paris from being a major turkey.
