6/25: Everybody was lucky to have Jim Brown on board.

Crack House was falling apart until the former Cleveland Browns running back showed up late. From there on, the movie got better. Now, that's what you call "raising the quality of the material." Richard Roundtree is fine but doesn't have much of screen time.

While watching the first half, I thought, "Colors did it way better." Everything felt banal. Jim Brown brought edge to the show by mistreating women and telling everybody not to fuck with him. As a result, the second half finally grabbed my attention.

It's not hard to see why almost nobody else lasted long enough in Hollywood afterwards. As Morales, Gregg Thomsen is the Spanish C. Thomas Howell. Not that it matters, but Albert Michel, Jr., is the guy on the left of Antonio Banderas in Desperado when they, along with Carlos Gallardo, with guitars faced their enemies.

All in all, Crack House may be realistic, but Bland House has been more like it.
