7/05: Dogtown and Z-Boys isn't a solid documentary, but it offers a provocative insight into the skateboarding subculture and how it came to be revolutionized by some kids in California.

I like Jay Adams' style the most and have come to respect the picture as shown on right: he going low, looking tough, with his long hair flowing in the air while his hand is on the pavement. However, the documentary isn't enjoyable because of the overwhelming hubris.

All in all, Dogtown and Z-Boys is a fascinating piece of skateboarding history.
