Feds
12/25: If not for Mary Gross, Feds would've been totally forgotten.

Incidentally, she's Michael Gross' brother, and you know him from Family Ties or Tremors. I never saw her in anything else since then. Anyway, the story works, and I like the training aspect. Rebecca De Mornay is fine, doing what she can do to keep things moving along.

However, I won't say the film is funny. It's rather matter-of-factly with Fred Dalton Thompson being serious about everything. Sure, several situations are unrealistic, especially when the two female agents in training are involved with crimes appearing out of the blue.

Some viewers may be put off by the sexism. That's the main theme: males don't think females can perform the job, so it's about proving them wrong. Interestingly, none of the attitude is shared by the FBI. At the end, I'm surprised the male trainees, besides Howard Butz, passed through and were able to graduate when they should've been given an F.

All in all, Feds succeeds in sending out a positive message that females are capable of being FBI agents.
