Fletch
3/25: Fletch is a classic Chevy Chase picture.

It's subtle and witty, making me laugh unexpectedly. Chevy Chase has a deadpan way of getting the little things go through with success. What works largely in his favor is whenever he assumes a disguise and/or a different name which is fourteen in total. Some of the lines are quite funny such as:

-"Arnold Babar. Isn't there a children's book about an elephant named Babar?"
-"I don't know. I don't have any."
-"No children?"
-"No elephant books."

"Put it on Underhill."

"My car just hit a water buffalo."

-"So, what's your name?"
-"Fletch."
-"Full name?"
-"Fletch F. Fletch."

"Sugar, Mr. Poon?"

"Oh, you've remodeled the garage. Must have cost you hundreds."

"Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures."

"I hate Tommy LaSorda."

"You know, Mo Green is out of the Tropicana now. My sons, Mike and Fredo, are taking over."

"By the way, I charged the entire vacation to Mr. Underhill's American Express card. Want the number?"

Of all characters Chevy Chase played, the best is Gordon Liddy with the silly 49-cent novelty teeth. He could've created a movie out of that character. The funniest scene is when Chevy Chase saw the names of doctors on the wall, starting with Rosen, was asked by the receptionist for his name, and spilled the papers while trying out different names including Dr. Rosenpenis.

All in all, Fletch and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation are the two best pictures of Chevy Chase's career.
