2/06: Slightly adapted from H.G. Wells' classic novel War of the Worlds, Mars Attacks! is a piss-poor, tasteless attempt at satire

It's also a rip-off of Independence Day which was released during the same year. Although the movie can be creative at times, I have no sympathy for any of the characters. Hence, I'm glad that most of them ended up dead. Why does Tim Burton have to be so dark and negative all the time for his films? This stuff gets old quickly.

All in all, Mars Attacks! is a giant step down after what Tim Burton did with Ed Wood.
