4/07: My Left Foot proves why Daniel Day-Lewis is a gifted actor.

However, not much of credit is given to Hugh O'Conor who should've gotten the Oscar in a tie with Daniel Day-Lewis. Oh, don't know who is that? He's the lad who played the young Christy Brown, having done bulk of the work, but was mostly unrewarded for his efforts. Very strange indeed.

Brenda Fricker is special as Christy Brown's mother, winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The most dramatic scene is when Christy Brown used his left foot to spell out his mother's name. The funniest is when he tried to blurt out the F word in frustration.

All in all, Daniel Day-Lewis will always be remembered for My Left Foot.
