7/17: I had heard a bit about Mystery Science Theater 3000 but didn't know what it was nor did I care.

So, I finally picked up the film to see what the fuss was about which turns out to be a big mistake. Basically, the premise is a guy and his two robot characters select a 50's sci-fi film and make fun of it while they're silhouettes sitting in front of the screen.

As short as the movie is, it's too long to sit through, and I took a lot of breaks to prevent my mind from decaying at an exponential rate. You know, I've seen a lot of crap back in the day, but Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie takes it to the next level that I hope not to experience again.

The weird part is that I did enjoy watching the supposedly parodied 1955 picture This Island Earth despite being annoyed by those who tried to make fun of it. I only wanted them to shut the fuck up once and for all so I could watch in peace.

All in all, thanks to Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie, I'll be sure to stay very far away from anything that's MST3K.
