There are two films with the same title, and this one is from 1986.
Nobody's Fool is about a quirky woman who tries to find her way while putting up with some crap in her
life. Then, a man comes along, and they fall in love. Along the way are acquiantances to shoot the
breeze. And...that's it.
Pretty much, the attention is on Rosanna Arquette and Eric Roberts. The former is okay while the latter gives
a strong showing even though I thought he didn't have it at first. Had they did this picture sometime in the
early 90's, doors would've been blown off because of their polished acting.
Everybody else is tolerable with the exception of Mare Winningham. She is the worst and
obviously no actress. On the other hand, it's interesting that Stephen Tobolowsky plays a drama teacher. I
would've gone with Eric Roberts for lessons.
All in all, Nobody's Fool won't be a waste of time for fans of either Rosanna Arquette
or Eric Roberts.
