Silverado
11/25: Lawrence and Mark Kasdan must have watched every Western film in existence and poured as many clichés as possible into Silverado, resulting in an "huh?"

It's so boring, long, and plain that I kept stopping the DVD player many times to take a mental break. All the characters do is talk, do some fancy shooting, and talk a lot more. This should've been an indication down the road that Wyatt Earp didn't deserve to be green-lit.

I selected Silverado because of Kevin Costner who turns out to be the most miscast. What a sap for thinking he's Billy the Kid! Kevin Kline is a close second. The rest of the all-star cast is no better. Many characters aren't well-developed or clearly defined in terms of motivation.

Each scene resembles an episode of a bad TV show. In sum, they don't connect very well. Remember Rosanna Arquette? What happened to her the entire time? I thought she was for Kevin Kline before switching to Scott Glenn and then going back to the other one. Something got lost in translation there. How about the new girlfriend for Kevin Costner? Who the heck is she?!? Where did the cattle come from for the stampede? I'm not going to bother with the inexplicable double-cross by Jeff Goldblum.

All in all, Lawrence Kasdan sucks at writing screenplays and directing films.
