The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is one of the best Western pictures made. The plot, the performances, the setting, the atmosphere, and the screenplay are all phenomenal.

John Wayne is brilliant, and John Ford's direction is mesmerizing. What a superb introduction. How the story unfolds is this: the hero shoots the villain dead and the other guy gets the girl.

All in all, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is a Western masterpiece.
