9/06: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an impressive remake of the original.

It's surprising to see how well the film was directed and acted. Most of all, it's the unflinching, unrestrained macabre that makes it great. The story, which bears little resemblance to the original, undergoes an interesting transformation. One negative is the pace that's slowed down during the last twenty minutes.

All in all, although the original rules, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is pretty good.
