Had Kevin Bacon come back for Tremors II: Aftershocks, my rating would've been higher.
Instead, it's Christopher Gartin, a Vince Vaughn lookalike, who stinks up the joint by playing the most annoying
character I can recall in a long time. Why? Why? Why? I couldn't bear the movie because of him getting in the
way to add his two cents. Earl agreed to have him aboard and split the profits 50/50? Damn, son...he's that dumb!
What the filmmakers should've done is pair Fred Ward with Michael Gross. They're more than enough and will do
fine. I can see the chemistry between these two. While the show was sucking for a long time, Michael Gross
managed to be occasionally funny which explains why he was able to have a couple more
Tremors films of his own next.
The sequel has all the makings of a direct-to-video picture. It's even stupider when the baby graboids are
born and are able to function on their own while being above land. The scientist said they were Precambrian
which raises a very simple question: where were they the entire time hitherto? We're talking about 4.6 billion
years. If I were these guys, I wouldn't stand so close to the cage housing the creature.
All in all, it's Christopher Gartin who killed Tremors II: Aftershocks.
