WalkTall
8/06: Walking Tall starts out as a pleasant surprise and then falls apart around the 50th minute mark when the truck is taken apart for drug search.

What works well is Dwayne Johnson's character trying to make things right again when he's back home after an eight-year stint in the Army. There's an imminent return of the nostalgic feel for the 90's action pictures. But all of that is thrown in the garbage bin, thanks to Kevin Bray's directorial ineptitude.

There's nothing wrong with Dwayne Johnson's acting. In fact, he should keep up the good work and try to find the right part to make his mark. On the other hand, a big mistake is the casting of Johnny Knoxville who's never believable.

All in all, I hate when things are going so well only to fall apart not long afterwards, and that's what happened in Walking Tall.
