Consider me disoriented after the switch was made from James Woods to Robert Hays.
That's when I realized for the first time Cat's Eye was an anthology film. I hate the genre and
consider it to be the second worst behind musicals. It's just lazy filmmaking with plenty of references
to Cujo, Christine,
The Dead Zone, and the not-yet-made
Pet Sematary. All right, here's my review for each segment.
Quitters, Inc.: James Woods' name caught my eye when the opening credits rolled because he's an
outstanding actor. Unfortunately, he's never done a successful horror movie, and this stuff is beneath him.
There's too much cat torture, and I prefer that to be done to Stephen King instead.
The Ledge: This is up Robert Hays' alley as he always finds himself in crap films. Remember
Murder by the Book? Just put Stephen King on the ledge and force
him to go around the building ten times with 50+ MPH winds blowing against him.
General: This is the most bizarre of them all. It's an epic battle between a tiny troll and the
no-talent Drew Barrymore. I was hoping the former would close the latter's nose permanently.
All in all, James Woods said it the best in the first segment: "Who writes this crap?"
