1/26: Chuck Norris doesn't fight; he gives a motivational seminar.

Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection did poorly at the box office in 1990? Well, many missed out on an action-packed picture with tons of explosion that's on the same level as Rambo: First Blood Part II, Missing in Action, and Uncommon Valor. I prefer this one over The Delta Force which was actually boring to watch.

Sure, the story is typical of the 80's: a special force is sent to Colo...er San Carlos to stop a drug lord. But one question: why mention "Colombian" in the title? It's funny when the president insisted on having an observer who can do jack shit about the United States bombing the hell out of San Carlos.

I liked Billy Drago in The Untouchables but was disappointed with his performance in Vamp. Finally, he plays a ruthless archvillain who sees no value in human life. Thankfully, Chuck Norris exists and will make sure of his death in a spectacular fall at the end. He also commented the following:

"I researched drug kingpins during the three years we worked to prepare for this movie, and much of what I read convinced me that you're dealing with unconscionable, truly vicious individuals. It's true, there are some changes in Colombia, but the fighting is still going on, and these people are other places as well.

And what you're fighting is billions of dollars. That much money means an enormous amount of power. That's why we portrayed our kingpin that vindictively. It happens. They feel they're above the law, and when you get in their way, they don't just go after you. They kill your wife, aunts, uncles, all relatives. They eliminate your lineage."

As for the house occupied by the drug lord that was shot on location primarily in the Philippines, Chuck Norris mentioned, "It had never been used. When [Imelda] Marcos was booted out, it was just left an empty shell. We bought it, made $1 million worth of refurbishments since it wasn't in good shape, and even built a swimming pool. And then we blew it up."

All in all, contrary to what critics say, Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection doesn't disappoint.
