Evil Dead II (1987)

9/06: A better and campier picture than the original, Evil Dead II oozes a lot of special effects in the absence of CGI which makes it all impressive.

It's also an effective horror picture. Although branded as a sequel to The Evil Dead, I consider it to be a remake. The acting is more improved this time around. By the way, I notice Bruce Campbell bears an eerie resemblance to Jim Carrey.

All in all, Evil Dead II is a genuine horror picture.
